Calm after the storm

Following the ongoing devastating floods that have affected many in Kenya and closer to home the Talek River burst its banks. We greatly empathize with our fellow Kenyans and lodge and camp owners in the Masai Mara, who have been affected by the floods.

We are thankful for all the warning phone calls that allowed us to move to higher ground, and for all the volunteers who assisted with the salvage effort and continue to offer support.

As the waters subside, we can report that our lodge remains intact with relatively minimal damage. We now embark on the repair and clean up exercise and will be able to reopen by the beginning of June.
